A distinguished track record.

PACE Heating & Air was established in Corvallis in 1996 and we acquired Scott’s Mechanical in Albany in 2002. During these past two years, we’ve bolstered our service and maintenance staff, setting the high bar for excellence in heating and cooling systems—for commercial and residential customers.

PACE Heating & Air, step-by-step through the years.

The origins of PACE Heating & Air date back to 1973 when its parent company, Maine’s Custom Construction was formed.
For more than three decades, Maine’s Custom Construction has served the residential and commercial construction needs of the mid-Willamette Valley. The company has earned a winning reputation for its skilled craftsmanship, excellent attention to detail, and superior customer service.
Perhaps it’s not surprising then that PACE Heating & Air enjoys the same superior reputation for installing, maintaining and servicing heating and cooling equipment—for commercial structures as well as for homes.

1996: The evolution toward PACE continues.

In 1995 John Maine purchased Eldridge Heating in Philomath, Oregon and a year later he moved its operations to Corvallis, where the company was renamed Corvallis Heating.
Under John’s expert guidance, Corvallis Heating grew steadily, and in 2001 the company gained important assets and sheet metal equipment by acquiring Newport Sheet Metal in Newport, Oregon.
By 2002, the company was ready to further expand operations in the Willamette Valley. That year, Corvallis Heating acquired Scott’s Mechanical in neighboring Albany, Oregon, adding more assets and personnel, which greatly enhanced the company’s service capabilities.

2004: Excellence has a new name—PACE Heating & Air.

In the fall of 2004, Corvallis Heating and Scott’s Mechanical sponsored an area-wide election to rename the company. The winning choice was PACE Heating & Air.
By virtue of its new name and new identity, PACE can communicate more directly with the communities it serves. Moreover, the company is poised for further expansion within the Willamette Valley, ready to serve additional businesses and home-owners as the need arises.

2010: Excellence has a new Home

In June of 2010, PACE moves and consolidates.
By virtue of consolidating its 3 offices into one central location at 1884 Fescue St SE in Albany, PACE can better service the communities it serves. The consolidation will enable a better response, and at a lower cost, to your needs.
